DESCRIPTION:Our aim for this series is to provide an opportunity for individuals and organizations to engage diverse residents and employees from multiple sectors in the Quad Cities region\, broaden their networks\, and enhance their awareness of diversity issues.\n\n\n\nTitle: L deres en Evoluci n\n\n\n\nDescription: Joe Moralez will speak about the impact that LULAC Council 10 has had in the Quad Cities in the area of education. Accompanying him will be his fellow LULAC Council 10 members. Mike Reyes\, former LULAC Council 10 President\, and former State LULAC President. It was his vision to have IOWA Latino Lessons in the schools. Alfred Ramirez\, Primary Facilitator\, Quad Cities LIDERAMOS Leadership Development program. His efforts laid the foundation for the program.\n\n\n\nAbout our speaker\, Joe Moralez:\n\n\n\nJoe Moralez is the Education Chairperson for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 10. Joe provides oversight of the various educational initiatives for LULAC Council 10. His primary goal is to "give back" to the community and "L deres en Evoluci n" using the skills he has acquired in operational\, training\, and education management from 28 years as a senior Army Officer (Retired) and 15 years as a High School teacher (Retired). Joe is a Bettendorf resident and is a proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joe loves to travel\, dance\, and bike with his wife of 30 years.
