GENERAL SUMMARY 
Working under the direction of the Golf Professional, this individual is primarily responsible for performing daily operational duties including opening/closing, parking golf carts, assisting visitors in the club house and at The Forge, informing patrons of rules, and monitoring the safety of all visitors.

AREAS OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES 
1. Responsible for opening, securing, and closing facility according to Palmer Hills policy and manager on duty. 
2. Keep the club house, Forge, and course restrooms clean and always maintained; cleanliness (mop, sweep, dust), bathroom checks and cleaning, ensure patrons are in proper areas. 
3. At the Forge, collect and record all money and transactions from the Forge and the driving range in adherence to department standards. 
4. Oversee the operations at the driving range, including collecting and washing range balls, manually picking golf balls not reachable by machine, and maintain cleanliness of the tee area by emptying trash cans or removing broken tees. 
5. Operate golf carts to keep the cart return area and storage neatly organized and maintained throughout the day. Responsible for cleanliness of golf carts to prep for next user by emptying trash, removing debris, and stocking divot bottles. 
6. Offer excellent customer service to all patrons and respond to patron needs in a kind and courteous manner. Provide general direction and supervision to both youth and adult golfers. 
7. Know and enforce safety standards and policies of the facilities. 
8. Able to work all scheduled hours, including early afternoons, evenings, and weekends. 
9. Required to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
10. When necessary, must complete accurate and appropriate paperwork. 
11. Perform other duties as assigned. 

WORK SCHEDULE
Work schedule will normally take place March through November, or as weather permits. Variable schedule working afternoon weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. 

Requirements 
KNOWELDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education
Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a minimum of one (1) year of high school.
 
 Experience 
Some experience in similar environments dealing with customer service or general facility maintenance is preferred. 
 
Interpersonal Skills
Must be able to interpret and enforce all Palmer Hills policies and procedures. Must be able to work with a diverse population and a variety of ages. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the public, including the part-time and full-time staff, and be able to deal in a persuasive manner. 
 
Analytical Ability 
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Must be able to operate in an efficient and safe manner all equipment required for this position and in accordance with City policy and direction. 
 
Physical Demands 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up above 50 pounds. 
 
Work Environment 
The employee primarily works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to extreme heat, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to: Golf Professional – Palmer Hills
Supervision: This position has no responsibility for the supervision of others.
